In Our Hearts

Long Description:
In Our Hearts is a New York City based anarchist network made up of autonomous collectives, projects and individuals building a culture of resistance in the City and beyond. The network is action orientated; its purpose is not to exist as an organization but instead to facilitate and support cooperation between collectives, affinity groups and projects involved with the network by creating a space for social interaction and face to face conversation. One such project is the infoshop at the 123 Space, which provides radical media and hosts special events as well.

"We are not in the least afraid of ruins. We carry a new world here, in our hearts."

Our goal is to foster a culture of anarchist resistance in New York City and beyond, by providing a space where people can find other like-minded individuals to start new projects and plug into existing open collectives or even bring their existing projects into the network. We run an infoshop at the 123 Space in order to provide radical materials and events.

Misled Youth Network

Long Description:
There are so many of us -- livewires with bad connections. No matter where we are, it never quite feels like home. This is a place for squatters, skaters, graffiti writers, teen mothers, and kids who hide poetry under their mattresses. This is a place for comic book nerds, ghetto geniuses, suicidal guitarists, and queer video producers. This is a place for incarcerated visionaries, runaway breakdancers, and honest criminals. This is for the dropouts with straight A's in survival. Our communities bristle with loose ends and frayed connections, and we sputter and burn out with no outlets for our energy. Problems and solutions lay strewn around, ignorant of each other's existence, severed by disunity and mistrust. A lot of us are called crazy, misguided and, misled. In reality, we are simply trying to make our way in a world engineered and controlled by older generations. We devise prototypes and assemble contraptions our music, cultures, styles, and politics. Those in power try to patent our inventions and sell them back to us. They'd rather plug us into TV shows and video games than see us build our own original circuitry. The Misled Youth Network is a switchboard, a sound system, a junkyard with just the right parts for whatever you're trying to build. This website is a place for creative, ambitious, caring, or just plain pissed off young people to share ideas, find support, and collaborate with peers. We're already generating an incredible amount of creative electricity -- now it's just a matter of hooking up the wiring and pulling out the breakers so we can power anything we dream up.
