Event Policy
Proposals for events are approved by the group during general meetings (Sundays at 5 p.m.), on a case-by case basis with emphasis on the purpose and inclusiveness of the event. Priority is given to events that further the social goals of the space (opposition to all forms of prejudice, bigotry and oppression), as well as those that are both accessible and welcoming to a wide range of people. To propose an event, fill out the events form and bring it to a Sunday meeting, or submit it to a 123 volunteer in order to have them present it at the meeting. It is best to attend the meeting where your event will be discussed in order to answer any questions that may arise.

A benefit party for our free bicycle project, with special performances by"Team Spider", "Whack", "Bust The Clocks," as well as DJ Tall tandem and DJ Suggested D. and visual projections by "the Glass Bead Collective." You also don't want to miss the "Freegan Bread Sculpture Lounge" by the people for the people. We are going to be sprucing up our backyard in preparation for garden beds and a patio area that we will be getting ready for springtime. Bring black and white artwork on plain white paper or a transparency, and a screen if you have one. We have a small collection of screens -- you can purchase one from us for $5-$15, depending on the size and whether or not you want to keep the screen for later use. The fee for exposing your artwork on the screen is $3-$5. We also provide affordable screenprinting services, but really encourage doing it yourself. It's a skill you can use forever. | ||

An Eight-Week Workshop With Local Poets Introducing The Art Of Poetry And Spoken Word Each workshop will give participants an opportunity to develop their unique voices as they create original pieces, and to learn about some of the greatest performance poets of our generation. The eight weeks of learning, sharing, and exploring will build towards a finale poetry night at 123.
