Event Policy
Proposals for events are approved by the group during general meetings (Sundays at 5 p.m.), on a case-by case basis with emphasis on the purpose and inclusiveness of the event. Priority is given to events that further the social goals of the space (opposition to all forms of prejudice, bigotry and oppression), as well as those that are both accessible and welcoming to a wide range of people. To propose an event, fill out the events form and bring it to a Sunday meeting, or submit it to a 123 volunteer in order to have them present it at the meeting. It is best to attend the meeting where your event will be discussed in order to answer any questions that may arise.

Bring black and white artwork on plain white paper or a transparency, and a screen if you have one. We have a small collection of screens -- you can purchase one from us for $5-$15, depending on the size and whether or not you want to keep the screen for later use. The fee for exposing your artwork on the screen is $3-$5. We also provide affordable screenprinting services, but really encourage doing it yourself. It's a skill you can use forever. | ||

An Eight-Week Workshop With Local Poets Introducing The Art Of Poetry And Spoken Word Each workshop will give participants an opportunity to develop their unique voices as they create original pieces, and to learn about some of the greatest performance poets of our generation. The eight weeks of learning, sharing, and exploring will build towards a finale poetry night at 123. All participants will have a chance to perform at this event recognizing the talent and voices of the community. Start: 4:00 pm

This hands-on workshop will teach you how to print your original designs onto posters, t-shirts, CD covers, stickers, and more. Let us introduce you to this technique so that you can use the 123 Printshop for your own projects. | ||
