We have set aside some time today to work on a few projects including: painting the walls, planning the creation of the new awning, building the hatch-door thing over the stair case, general cleaning and creating a fair cleaning system, working the the back yard (weather permitting). We provide homework help, tutoring, arts and crafts, and snacks. We mostly serve the younger crowd, but hopefully soon we should be able to accommodate junior high / high school student's needs as well. Let us know if you'd like to lend a hand.

A networking potluck for people involved in various In Our Hearts working groups and people who would like to get involved or bring a project into the network. Vegan or vegetarian food is preferred.

Ending Sexual Violence with the courage to talk and the wisdom to listen.

The I.S.I.S. Foundation is seeking motivated, enthusiastic individuals to be
a part of our SAAM (Sexual Assault Awareness Month) planning team.
Volunteers will be asked to take leadership roles in all components of their
duties, and they will be encouraged to add their own voice to the
anti-violence movement.

Successful volunteers will possess strong writing and phone skills; be self
motivated with a positive attitudes, well organized, and team players.
Computer knowledge is preferred, including but not limited to: Internet
research, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.

Volunteers will work from home and attend one meeting a month to be held on
the first Saturday of every month from 11-1:30pm at the 123 Community Space
located at 123 Tompkins Ave , in Bed Stuy Brooklyn. Starting date is January
5th

The deal, as always, is that you come bringing only yourself (and your friends and comrades), and we provide you with a delicious vegan meal, information about a political prisoner or group of prisoners as well as all of the letter-writing materials and prisoner-letter-writing info you could ever want to use in one evening. In return, you write a thoughtful letter to a political prisoner or prisoner of war of your choosing or
better yet, keep up a long-term correspondence. Alternating Tuesdays at 7pm at 1-2-3.
