Event Policy
Proposals for events are approved by the group during general meetings (Sundays at 5 p.m.), on a case-by case basis with emphasis on the purpose and inclusiveness of the event. Priority is given to events that further the social goals of the space (opposition to all forms of prejudice, bigotry and oppression), as well as those that are both accessible and welcoming to a wide range of people. To propose an event, fill out the events form and bring it to a Sunday meeting, or submit it to a 123 volunteer in order to have them present it at the meeting. It is best to attend the meeting where your event will be discussed in order to answer any questions that may arise.
Backyard Workday
This is not the most exciting special event, but a special event nonetheless. We are going to be sprucing up our backyard in preparation for garden beds and a patio area that we will be getting ready for springtime. We are starting now to improve our image with the landlord and just cause we're ready to get a little more organized. Our general meeting will be held early this week, starting at 4 p.m.!
