Event Policy
Proposals for events are approved by the group during general meetings (Sundays at 5 p.m.), on a case-by case basis with emphasis on the purpose and inclusiveness of the event. Priority is given to events that further the social goals of the space (opposition to all forms of prejudice, bigotry and oppression), as well as those that are both accessible and welcoming to a wide range of people. To propose an event, fill out the events form and bring it to a Sunday meeting, or submit it to a 123 volunteer in order to have them present it at the meeting. It is best to attend the meeting where your event will be discussed in order to answer any questions that may arise.

About 123 Community Space:
Founded in July 2007 by several NYC grassroots organizations and many individual volunteers, 123 hosts an after school program, a free bike workshop, a children's photography program, a screenprinting studio, an infoshop and lending library, political prisoner letter writing dinners, and special events. We envision 123 as a safe haven for all, and as a fertile ground for local projects and activities to take root and grow.
