A holiday rent email?
Holiday Greetings from 123!
As 2007 comes to a close, the 123 Community Space is growing and getting better with each passing month. A lot of new projects and people have come into 123, and we’re still looking for more! While we are proud of the things going on right now, we also have a lot of goals for the New Year, such as expanding the Afterschool program, and having more explicitly anarchist events and projects, with our lending library and infoshop representing just a part of that.
In order to continue this progress, though, we need the continued support of our friends and comrades. One of the best ways that you can do this is to become a member of 123, by contributing $25/month!

If your family or friends are still looking for gifts to get you, ask for a membership to 123! It’s pretty inexpensive, and goes a long way towards creating a space for community and resistance. We’ve already had a number of people become members, and only need 15 more for us to financially stable for the next 6 months!
Here’s some of the things that you would be supporting:
-The Freegan Bike Workshop (Where anyone can build a
bike or repair their own for free) meets on Wednesdays
and Saturdays.
-Misled Youth Network (Youth empowerment through
visual arts) hosts silkscreening and photography
workshops
-In Our Hearts Network (Anarchist network whose
projects include an active book and zine distribution
and really really free markets) hosts a lending
library and monthly potlucks
-NYC Anarchist Black Cross (Political Prisoner support
collective) has bi-weekly Political Prisoner Letter
Writing Dinners on Tuesday nights
There’s also a lot of new things that have happened or are going on at the space like:
-The kalabash organic food co-op moving in on Saturdays
-A weekly poetry workshop
-Expanded silkscreening hours
-Biweekly APOC(anarchist people of color) meetings
-An open house with spoken word performances
-skillshares on silkscreening and computers
-A screening of “when the levees broke”
-Expanded lending library services, with daytime hours
We also offer the space for benefits and other events.
This past month we hosted a night of poetry, and also hosted a neighborhood holiday party.
We have open meetings on Sundays at 5 pm, and everyone is welcome to come by and find out what’s going on!
Thank you for your support,
Dave
