NYC Anarchist Black Cross is a collective focused on supporting US-held political prisoners and prisoners of war and opposing state repression against revolutionary social justice movements. We are a support group of the Anarchist Black Cross Federation.
Every other Tuesday, 7pm at 1-2-3, write to political prisoners and learn about their movements. Come enjoy a home-cooked dinner-- we'll supply the writing materials. The only thing you need to bring is you, your friends + comrades!
Our mission
-to encourage people active in social justice work to make the freedom of political prisoners and prisoners of war a priority. to connect activists outside of prison with political prisoners.
-to encourage people to learn about political prisoners and their movements as well as to learn about and get involved in current liberation struggles.
-to oppose state efforts to repress social justice movements.
-to do our part as prisoner supporters toward realizing freedom for all political prisoners and prisoners of war.
-to do our part as anarchists toward realizing total liberation from the state and from all forms of oppression and coercion.
